Sales & service is always there for you!
Hand grinding coffee beans was a very slow and tedious affair; rock and hard surface, to mortar and pestle to wooden box and drawer to the now slimline unit in the picture .
The ‘home barista’ is as distinct from the professional barista as the single dose coffee grinder is from the commercial hopper style coffee grinders.
The single dose coffee grinders are still a bit rare and expensive when being considered for the home barista. New single dose machines are now popping up more and more now.

What are the differences between the Pro Barista and a Home Barista and why does it matter. When you select a Coffee Machine/Grinder for home why not go for Pro Barista equipment if you can? Simple; the goals are very different. Many at home only want a single coffee a few times a day. Beans in a hopper at home can take weeks to use. Freshness is lost. And what do you do with all those beans when your friend wants a decaf. Decanting the hopper is blahh! Using single dose low retention coffee grinders at home saves money and keeps the beans fresh.
A Pro Barista needs to make coffee quickly, repeatably and cost efficiently. Which means the machinery is tuned to set outputs i.e. double or triple shot brewed. The grinder setting dictate the volume and grind size. They have larger hoppers because barista’s empty and refilled them multiple times a day. Cafe’s don’t change beans for each type of coffee, so they don’t need to purge decaf beans before loading say Ristretto coffee beans. There budget is 5 x times that of a home barista and they normally have several grinders with varying beans in the hoppers.
