Profitec’s Pro T64 is a powerhouse prosumer-level grinder with 1950’s styling and a commercial-grade heart. At first glance, the Pro T64 distinguishes itself with its straightforward appearance. It's deceptively simple, with clean lines and a rectangular body that hides a pair of strong, flat stainless steel 64mm burrs and a 450-watt motor that can chew through 11 grams of coffee in about 2.5 seconds.
One thing to consider is that it takes time to adjust the grind setting with a worm gear because of how finely it adjusts. This makes the Pro T64 a bit of an espresso specialist, so take that into consideration if you're someone who needs to flip between coarse and fine grind sizes.
If you're wondering about how this will work with your cabinets, Profitec developed short hoppers for the Pro T64, putting it at a more compact 16.9”. This very respectable stainless-steel grinder should fit nicely under most overhanging cabinets and serve as a strong companion piece to any Prosumer espresso machine.
The worm gear makes for fine-tuned stepless adjustment to grind size. This is perfect for finding just the right flavor, beating out stepless adjustment grinders that can either go too far, or not far enough.
Mounted on the front of the grinder is an adjustable portafilter bracket held in place by a pair of 2.5mm Allen screws. The bracket can comfortable hold the portafilter in place allowing for hands free grinding.
The Pro T64's single and double shot buttons can be programmed in increments of 1/10th of a second for incredible precision when dispensing your preferred amount of coffee.
The Pro T64 has a counter feature that can be accessed through the programming menu which keeps track of each shot ground, with double shots counting twice.
